Roger Bowman
Roger is a graduate of Nyack Missionary College, Point Loma Nazarene University, and has completed studies at Nazarene Theological and Fuller Seminaries. He has served in Christian ministry for 60 years as senior pastor, college professor, administrator, and district superintendent with the Church of the Nazarene. He is currently the senior adult pastor in Gateway Church, Murrieta, CA. Roger and Marlene, married for 57 years, have 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
John Coulombe
John has been in pastoral ministry since Judson Baptist College and Biola/Talbot Seminary days, working with youth in Redondo Beach and Long Beach and for 17 years with youth and families in Santa Barbara. For 21 years at First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton, CA, John has served as Pastor to Senior Adults. He and Jacque teach in churches and conferences on issues surrounding marriage, family and grandparenting. They have 2 married sons and 7 grandchildren.
Peggy Fulghum
Peggy manages all aspects of senior adult ministries at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, Marietta GA, including Bible Studies and activities for the Boomer and Builder cohorts. An advocate for senior adults, Peggy started ministries for the mind, body and spirit, encouraging continued education, seniors ministering to seniors and intergenerational ministries. Peggy, M.Div., is continuing studies toward a Doctorate of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. Her passion is ministry to senior adults. An Atlanta native, she and Tom have two grown daughters.
Pete Menconi (CN Vice-President)
Prior to becoming Outreach Pastor at Greenwood Community Church in Denver CO, Pete practiced dentistry for 23 years. He has an M.S. in Counseling Psychology, studied in seminary, and has written several Bible studies, articles and books including The Intergenerational Church: Understanding Congregations from WWII to www.com. Pete and Jean have been married 40 years. They have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren.
Ross Patterson
Ward Tanneberg (CN President/Executive Director)
Ward has given much of his life to the role of pastor in three churches, including 5 years in Forks WA, 23 years as senior pastor at Valley Christian Center, Dublin CA and 7 years as executive pastor at Westminster Chapel, Bellevue WA. A writer and novelist, Ward speaks at retreats and conferences about the transforming values of ‘morphing at midlife’ (and beyond!) in answer to Christ’s ‘second half callings.’ He and Dixie have 2 married children and 7 grandchildren. Their interests and ministry have taken them to nearly 50 countries of the world.
Rod Toews (CN Treasurer)
Rod has been the Pastor for 50 Plus people at Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City, CA since 2005. After graduating from Seminary in 1958 he has served as Minister of Christian Education in three churches and also a number of years with Christian Publishers.
Wes Wick
Wes Wick is co-founder of YES! Young Enough to Serve. YES! helps to energize the hearts of adults toward serving in life’s second half, extending Christ’s love beyond generational and congregational borders. Wes and Judy have a strong desire see young leaders engage with them in the task of tapping the untargeted and too often shelved potential of older adults. Wes has given years to Christian higher education administration, most recently as Vice President for Advancement at Bethany University. He holds a masters degree in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Seattle Pacific University. Wes and Judy, reside in Scotts Valley, CA, and are empty nesters, proud parents of four adult children.
