Pastor Sharon has always been strong in all that she does.

The first born of seven with six brothers, she loved serving in her community for years along with her five children in their activities. Then at age 45, the Lord placed a call on her life and today she is an ordained minister and a pastor for over 25 years at Phoenix First Assembly of God where she currently directs 21 ministries. She has developed Compassionate Ministries such as Wheelchair Bus Ministry, Care Center Ministry, Medical Equipment Lending Center, Special Needs Classes and Camp, Extreme Seasonal Outreaches and Chaplain Training. She and her husband of 50+ years are determined to see every Zip Code in every community in our Nation established with a Chaplain.

Conversations with Leaders: James Gambone, Ph.D

Following the completion of an M.A. in Inter-American Diplomatic History, service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Colombia, and a Ph.D. in bilingual/bicultural education at the University of New Mexico; Jim worked as a Drop-Out Prevention Specialist on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and as a Resource Training Director with the Minneapolis Public Schools. In these positions, he was responsible for developing and delivering a variety of curriculum and training programs. Since that time, Jim has worked as a writer, producer and director, telecommunications and marketing consultant, statewide media campaign coordinator in the State of Minnesota, workshop leader, public speaker, and lecturer.

She and Richard are Co-Directors of 2nd ½ for Him Ministries/Converge Worldwide (Baptist General Conference). They are co-authors of Amazing Grays: Unleashing the Power of Age in Your Congregation. Leona has worked in the field of gerontology for 35 years. She is an Advisory Council member/CRISTA Senior Living, co-producer of the short film, Musical Chairs, and Secretary of the Board of CASA Network.

Pastor, Calvary Chapel, Santa Ana CA

In December 1965, Chuck Smith became the pastor of a 25-person congregation in Santa Ana. Four years later, Calvary Chapel became associated with what later was known as the Jesus Movement and in the following years, hundreds of Calvary Chapels sprang up all over America. In 2006, Chuck gave the following message to a CASA Seniors Retreat at the Murrieta Hot Springs Conference Center, Murrieta CA.

John Coulombe has been in pastoral ministry since Judson Baptist College and Biola/Talbot Seminary days, working with youth in Redondo Beach and Long Beach and for 17 years with youth and families in Santa Barbara. 50 and Better & Adult Administration and Assimilation Pastor

Rev. Steve Clifton joined the staff of First Baptist Church in June of 1996. He is the 50 and Better & Adult Administration and Assimilation Pastor. He also is the team leader for all adult ministries at the church. A native of Tennessee, he has served churches in Arkansas, Tennessee and Florida.

Steve graduated in 1983 from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music. Additional Christian Education studies have been completed at Williams College, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky.

Steve is married to the former Laurie Baker of Birmingham, Alabama. They have two children, Caleb and Sarah.

Pastor for Adult Ministries, Alliance Church, Lancaster PA

Joe Burchill grew up in Western Pennsylvania. Following graduation from Toccoa Falls College, he was on staff at the Corry Alliance Church for three years, then joined the staff at Community Alliance in Butler, PA. After four years, Joe and his wife Joy joined the Western PA District staff of the Christian & Missionary Alliance where he served for sixteen years as the Director of Christian Education and Administration. Joe has traveled extensively as a teacher trainer, curriculum developer and consultant for the C&MA and other evangelical organizations. During his time in Punxsutawney, Joe served on various county and state education boards and completed his master’s degree in adult and community education at Indiana University of PA. In 2002, the Burchills moved to Lancaster, PA, to join the staff of the National Office of the C&MA as Associate Director of Life Impact Ministries.

Joe joined the Lancaster Alliance Church Staff in August of 2009 as Pastor for Adult Ministries. Joe and Joy live in Landisville and enjoy their two college-aged children. Beth is a senior at Penn State majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management at the University Park campus. Nathan is a freshman elementary education major at the Harrisburg Campus of Penn State and serves his local church in the music and adult education departments.
